Question on RSPs and coverage for inclusive kindergarten classes . My child has an IEP and is at Jefferson early Ed integrated into general Ed. How many RSPs are available and is there also speech therapy either as a pullout or in class?

💕
Dr. Zacharakis

We have two RSPs on site. One supports K-2 and the other 3-5. Additionally, we have a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist who provide support as related to a student’s IEP.

My son has a peanut allergy. Do you have any policy on peanuts at school?
Dr. Zacharakis
38:01
Some of our classrooms are peanut free, due to an allergy in the classroom. We are not peanut free school-wide.

How is bullying defined and addressed? At what point does the staff intervene?
Alison.Rodal
42:17
Is it simply 'free' time or structured activity? Also is it expected that there will be space for new students entering fall 2022? Is there a waitlist and how is it cleared?
Roger Lee
42:24
I found it very helpful to see how each enrichment activity is funded. If the SFUSD budget does get cut, how do you expect the enrichment activities (or funding sources) to change?
Alison.Rodal

How does the school deal with/engage with kids who may be ahead of their peers in reading or math?

51:57
If sf school enrollment is lower in 2022, would the capacity of the school be reduced? Put another way: would it be more difficult to get into the school?
Drew Skillman
52:54
Trying to understand if the possible budget cuts would affect enrollment, or if its the final # of enrolled students that might affect budget cuts

54:47
What is the balance between "traditional" instruction vs project based learning/hands on learning opportunities for students in the GE program?
